Dining Room
Meeting place for friends & family: The dining room
Living and dining area with Eiermann 2 dining table by Richard Lampert
The dining room - the central hub of the home
The dining area is the central hub of the home, the place where the family gathers and friends are welcomed. Especially during the week the communal time at the dining table is often the only time when the whole family sits together. The extended breakfast on weekends or joint dinners with good friends always create very special moments. Accordingly, the dining room should be a welcoming and cosy location which invites you to linger.

Dining tables in all shapes and sizes
Dining tables are available in a variety of sizes, shapes and materials. For example, the Seiltänzer table by Moormann is available in numerous variations, meaning the optimal dimensions for every pace are available. Friends of round tables will find joy in designer tables such as the analogue of Fritz Hansen, the Guéridon of Jean Prouvé for Vitra or the round Tavolo XZ3 from Magis. For experimental design fans, the oval version of the Saarinen dining table is a valid option - depending on taste with a simple laminate table top or extravagant table top made of high-quality marble.

Coordinated dining chairs
Whether you opt for standard dining chairs or the mix & match variant, where different chairs are combined, depends entirely on your individual taste. When combining different chairs, make sure that they have as uniform a seat height as possible. Series like the Vitra Standard Chairs or chairs from a range such as the Eames Plastic Chairs, are characterized by their uniform seat height, which allows you to use different chairs can easily select and combine with your table height. A light version of the mix & match concept can be the same chairs, but in different shades - such as Eames aluminium chairs with different coloured covers or the chairs of the Eames Colour Selection. If you prefer a classic style dining experience, uniform dining chairs can look very elegant, especially in simple tones such as black or white.

Design classic for the dining room
Manufacturers such as Vitra and Thonet have been associated for decades with the production of design classics - be it now iconic designs of the 19th and 20th centuries or designer furniture that has what it takes to become a classic of the future. A major pillar of these classics are the dining chairs such as the S 43 Classic, one of the first cantilever chairs in furniture history, and which is still characterized today by its straightforward design and outstanding comfort. And also chairs of the Mid-Century like the DKR Wire Chair or the aluminium chairs by Charles & Ray Eames are chairs, which will enrich your dining room for decades to come.
